Smoked Gouda with Bacon Mac and Cheese

This homemade twist on mac and cheese made with Mrs. Grissom’s SELECT Smoked Gouda with Bacon is rich, delicious, comforting & oh…. so good!

Ingredients:

16 oz package medium shells (half package)

Cheese Sauce:

4 T Butter
4 T Flour
1 ½ Cups Milk
Salt & Pepper
12 oz container Mrs. Grissom’s SELECT Smoked Gouda with Bacon*

Topping:

¼ Cup Seasoned Panko Style Bread Crumbs
1 T Butter, Melted

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Add flour, stir until mixture is smooth. Add milk, cook until thickened. Remove from heat, add container of Mrs. Grissom’s SELECT Smoked Gouda with Bacon, stirring until melted, add salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Place cooked pasta in casserole dish. Pour cheese sauce over pasta, stirring to make sure shells are evenly coated with cheese sauce.
  4. Melt 1 T butter (in microwave safe bowl or on stovetop in small saucepan). Add bread crumbs to melted butter. Use fork to sprinkle breadcrumbs over top of shells.
  5. Bake uncovered until brown and bubbly at 350 degrees about 30 minutes.

Cook Time: 30 minutes
Ready in: 50 minutes
